A recipe for crispy and delicious waffles with apple caramel

There are lots of various holidays in the entire world. Just think of it that some people celebrate National Waffle Iron Day! It is the perfect time to celebrate this amazing event with delicious homemade waffles.

So that, dear sweet teeth, here is a recipe for crispy and delicious waffles with apple caramel!

Melt 50 g of soft butter, and then cool it up to 25-30°C. In a separate bowl, beat one egg and 2 tablespoons of white sugar, adding 1 sachet (10 g) of vanilla sugar and beat just until lumpy-foamed smooth. While stirring, pour slowly butter and 100 ml of milk into the mixture. Then add 100 g of all-purpose flour and baking powder. Ladle the batter into a preheated waffle iron and cook them until golden and crisp following the instructions. Cool the wafers on the wire rack.

Caramel recipe

Take 2-3 apples and remove the peel from the fruit as well as an apple core. Then, cut the apples into slices. Preheat your pan over medium heat and add 15-20 g of butter, then apples' slices and fry accordingly on medium heat for 3-5 minutes. Pour 1 tablespoon of cognac into this mixture. Add 2-3 tablespoons of white sugar, and a teaspoon of a mixture of spices - cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, and simmer up to 5-7 minutes. Serve the finished waffles on a plate, pour with apple caramel, garnish with berries and mint leaves, and decorate them by sprinkling a thin layer of powdered sugar.
